The News!
I remember that i was on twitter when I got a facebook notification, the tag was from someone I hardly ever interact with on socials but in person you know (S/O Lyrikal Kid and Mambosh), fede the tag was on the auditions poster with all the details, so I decided "tla ke ba kene" and to try out.
November 2016, preparing for the BoomBox Special edition event featuring " The Last Letta - Zubz" as our co-host for the night.
The Boombox was the same day as the auditions happening at Shine Studios, which is just a few minutes walk from the Boombox venue for the night - "Ko Spotong"

The Audition
Got to Braam around 2pm, met up with "Chro" at "KoSpotong", kicked it for a young minute as he was preparing to make an appearance at the "RAP Activity Jam" and as soon as he left for the SABC, I split to the Shine studios for the auditions, luckily the stu wasn't far from "KoSpotong", got there found a que, met up wit the judges, were told the rules and was auditioner number 147 or something.
Finally got to do my thing, made it to the 2nd part of the audition and after that was told wait for the call...
Soooo, its March 20L7 already, I havnt received any call, iv made peace cz I'm thinking I ddnt make it.
The Call
There I am chilled, working on the blog at the only internet cafe in my hood,
same time downloading the Amandla Video "Shynin Armour" sent through, its finally here,
the game changer, that "iniesta through ball b", smh. . .
I get a call wit a weird looking number? I'm like better not be debt collectors...
Me: "hello, how may I help you"
Caller: "May we please speak to Andrew Poifo Mogotsi?
Me: "Speaking..."
Caller: "we calling from the one mic show on SABC 1,
we'd like to inform you that you (I) have been chosen to be one of the contestants for the 1st season,
pls be at the shoot (date) March in Braam blah blah bla..."
I'm ecstatic af, thoughts are racing, can't wait to tell the team and all my peeps...
I'm in the zone, focused, looking like Muhammad Ali at Rumble in the Jungle, I'm about to drop an EP, this is a big break,
some free marketing, lemme dala what I must.

This is my one chance, I gotta grab it, this is for all those that believe in me, and for all those that don't believe in me!
